It's been quiet without you around. We are eager to hear about your summers, so please stop by and tell us about your travels and your internships.

We look forward to seeing you next week for the start of classes! All elective and flex core classes begin on Wednesday, August 26th. Please see the Academic Calendar for all important dates through out the semester. If you are taking flex core this fall, please note that the Fall 2015 Core Exam Schedule is posted as well. 

You will be notified when Course Match reopens tomorrow. As you finalize your schedule, please keep in mind the following deadlines:

Monday, September 1

- last day to add a Q1 or full semester course

- last day to drop, without penalty, Q1 or full semester courses at capacity

 Monday, September 14

- last day to change grading status on full semester or Q1 elective courses

 Monday, September 21

 - final day to drop  Q1 courses

There are a limited number of large lockers available to Wharton MBA students thus at the beginning of each academic year, large lockers are distributed through a lottery. Winners are permitted to use an assigned locker for the current academic year only.

The Class of 2016 Large Locker Lottery is now open. The entry deadline is Thursday, August 27 at 5pm. Students entering the lottery will be notified of the results by Friday, August 28th by 5pm. If you are a winner and have failed to claim your locker by 5pm on Wednesday, September 2, your locker will be given to a student who was not selected as a winner in the lottery. The MBA Program Office will hold upcoming information sessions for the Global Immersion Programs (GIPs) on the following dates:

• Wednesday, September 8: 12:00pm-1:00pm, room JMHH 340
• Thursday, September 10: 3:00pm-4:00pm, room JMHH 340

Both sessions will focus on our Fall 2015 GIPs: India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.  If you cannot attend a session, visit the GIP website or email the Coordinator of Global Immersion Programs, Christine Sweeney, for more information.

Additionally, we are looking for outgoing and motivated students with regional expertise to help lead these programs as Student Coordinators. Please contact Christine Sweeney for more details. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

The online Wharton Community is a valuable asset that allows students to search for each other and connect with alumni. It also provides Wharton faculty with information that makes for more engaging classroom discussions.

We strongly recommend that you login to the community and ensure your information is up to date.

 The Learning Resource Center provides professional instruction in university relevant skills such as academic reading, writing, study strategies, and time management to the Penn student community.  Many of these seminars are specifically designed for the international student. Also, the Penn Grad Christian Fellowship hosts English Chats for international students who are interested in improving their language skills.
