Your First Exam

Diversity Workshop - Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25
Please remember that our MANDATORY Diversity Workshop will be taking place on Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25. Attendance will be taken. You will find the date and time and location for your cluster below:

Course Match Deadlines
You will be notified when Course Match reopens tomorrow. As you finalize your schedule, please keep in mind the following deadlines:
Monday, September 1
- last day to add a Q1 or full semester course
- last day to drop, without penalty, Q1 or full semester courses at capacity
Monday, September 14
- last day to change grading status on full semester or Q1 elective courses
Monday, September 21
- final day to drop Q1 courses

Complete Your Profile and Upload Your Resume in CareerPath
CareerPath is Wharton’s online recruiting system. In order to gain access to the complete functionality of CareerPath, receive important industry-specific recruiting information and targeted recruiting advise, complete the following:
1. Log-in and complete the “My Profile” section.
2. Upload your most recent resume*
a. Go to the “Resumes & Cover Letters” tab
b. Select the documents tab
c. Click the “Add New” button
d. Give you resume a label (such as “General Resume” or “Advising Resume”)
e. Select “Resume” for document type and click “Browse…” to select your resume document
f. Click the “Submit” button
*This resume will be used for internal and career advising purposes only and will not be viewed by anyone other than the MBACM staff.

Please be sure to check the status of your loan application(s) on the Penn Loan System at www.sfs.upenn.edu/loans and contact the Wharton MBA Financial Aid Office at 215-898-8728 or by email if you have any questions.
Student refunds for the Fall term will be available within seven business days after the Student Financial Services Loan Office receives your loan disbursement(s).

Class of 2017 Small Locker Sign-up
There are a limited number of small lockers available to Wharton MBA students thus at the beginning of each academic year, small lockers are distributed first-come, first-served via the Class of 2017 Small Locker Sign-up. Winners are permitted to use an assigned locker for the current academic year only.
The Class of 2017 Small Locker Sign-up is now open. The entry deadline is Thursday, August 27 at 5pm or whenever slots are filled. Students who sign up will be notified of the results via email starting Tuesday, August 25 by 5pm. You may sign up for a small locker here.

Mail Folders
All first year students have a mail folder, located in the bins on the east side of the 2nd floor of Huntsman Hall. Please do not remove your folder from the bins.

EXCEL 1 Workshop
This hands-on workshop, designed for those with little or no Excel experience, or who want a refresher, focuses on Excel essentials that may be helpful to know for your upcoming coursework. Apply skills using practical business examples. A course pack is available for after class reference.
Specific topics include:
- Edit, Format, Insert, and Delete Cells, Rows and ColumnsAssign utilities to twice the number of classes (not just sections) of your desired course load. For example, if your maximum cu is set at 4 cu for the fall, assign utilities to 8 distinct classes, and put utilities on as many sections of those classes as possible.
- How to write and use general Business related formulas
- Copy formulas with Relative and Absolute Cell Referencing
- Insert Miscellaneous Functions (Math, Statistical, Logical)
- Create and Edit charts
- Work Sheet commands; Link sheets together
- Page Layout, Print and View commands
- Level 1 Shortcut keys to increase efficiency in completing spreadsheets

Student Health Insurance
The University of Pennsylvania requires that you carry adequate health insurance. You may satisfy this requirement through a private or employer-sponsored plan that meets Penn’s minimum criteria or you may enroll in Penn’s Student Insurance Plan (PSIP).
If you have not shown proof of insurance by August 31, 2015 you will be automatically enrolled in PSIP and the fees will be charged to your bursar bill.
