To accommodate the schedules of the Wharton and Kirkland & Ellis faculty as well as the various contributing speakers in Fall 2018, we need to make adjustments to the schedule proposed for these classes.
- FNCE 891 401 (Meets MW 9:00-10:30AM): There will also be a single section of FNCE 391/891 which will be taught solely by Professor Kaiser. This section will commence at 9:00AM Monday/Wednesday and will be primarily focused on the finance/valuation side of distressed corporate restructuring, with a significant focus on the deal-making side as well. This course will be similar to the course currently being delivered by Professor Kaiser in Spring 2018. There is no application/selection process for this class though space limitations may limit the number who are able to enroll, and it will comprise undergraduate and MBA students.
- FNCE 891 402 (Meets MW 10:30-12:00PM): There will be a single section of the joint class (FNCE391/891 & LAW 908) which will be co-taught by Professor Kaiser (Wharton) and Professors Sassower, Hessler, and Sprayregen (Kirkland & Ellis). This co-taught section will commence at 10:30AM Monday/Wednesday and will be primarily focused on the deal-making side of distressed corporate restructuring, with a significant finance/valuation element as well. This course will be similar to the course which was delivered in Fall 2017. Due to space limitations, participants need to apply, and be selected, to enroll in this class and it will comprise approximately 50% undergraduate, 25% MBA, and 25% Law students. If you wish to apply for FNCE 891 402, please write to Andrea Rollins (email@example.com) including your resume as well as a few paragraphs as to why you want to take this class. Deadline to apply is August 13. Students approved will then be able to place utility on FNCE 891 402 in Course Match.
To be clear, sections FNCE 891 401 and FNCE 891 402 are separate offerings but students cannot enroll in both sections; based on the descriptions above, you may wish to enroll in one or the other.
