Below you will find more information on Math for Business, an online refresher course that will help prepare you for quantitative coursework as well as the mandatory diagnostic exam. You will also find a schedule of upcoming webinars, waiver deadlines, and reminders of required tasks such as setting up your Pennkey and Wharton Accounts.
We are proud to offer Math for Business: an online refresher course designed to incorporate key quantitative concepts as identified by Wharton faculty who teach in the core curriculum. Math for Business will supplement your preparation for the Wharton academic experience.
Math for Business is hosted on Canvas, the University of Pennsylvania’s learning management system. You will need your PennKey and password to login to the system. If you do not yet have your PennKey or password, see more information in the section below.
You can study the subjects at your own pace and review the video material as you see fit. Each module contains a series of explanatory videos and a set of practice questions and solutions, referred to as a “Problem Set.” Several of the more involved questions in the Problem Sets are accompanied by explanatory videos. For a complete description of the course including a comprehensive syllabus, we recommend that you visit the course’s “Syllabus” tab.
Mandatory Diagnostic Exam: Math for Business will also prepare you for an exam to be taken at the end of course. This is a diagnostic exam and it is mandatory for all entering MBA students that will open shortly and must be taken prior to August 1, 2016.

Set up your PennKey and Wharton account to access vital online resources including your Wharton email account. Beginning in July we will send these messages to your Wharton email account only:
Within a few weeks of expressing your intent to matriculate you should have received an email from the University of Pennsylvania’s Information Systems and Computing (ISC) Department with instructions on how to activate your PennKey. The PennKey set-up code issued by ISC expires within sixty days. You’ll need your PennKey to do pretty much everything on the Penn/Wharton computer network, so take action on it immediately. If you haven’t received a set-up code or your set-up code has expired, check page 34 of Let’s Get Started for instructions on how to proceed.
Once you have activated your PennKey, you can use the same username and password to set up your Wharton account. Your Wharton Account enables you to access the MBA Program website, prep courses in Accounting and Business Math, Career Management, e-mail, and a host of other resources at Wharton.
Following the next bi-weekly message, we will send all future e-communication via your Wharton email address.
