Reading Business Cases Strategically Workshop

Unsure how to tackle and analyze lengthy business cases? Attend this workshop at 12 PM on Monday, February 15th in JMHH F-60 jointly hosted by Natalya Vinokurova, Assistant Professor of Management, and Victoria Rodriguez, learning instructor from the Weingarten Learning Resources Center, to share and pick up strategies to more efficiently and effectively read complex cases. By adapting your strategies to better match the purpose of your reading, you can learn more from each case and be better prepared to share those insights with both faculty and peers. Lunch will be provided.

MKTG 613: STRATEGIC MARKETING SIMULATION

MKTG613 - Strategic Marketing Simulation: Section 005 of this course will be held during the following dates:

Friday & Saturday, February 12, 13, 19, & 20, 2016

Students enrolling in this course should expect to be engaged in coursework for the entirety of the dates/times listed in Course Match, from very early in the morning until late in the evening, and are expected to be on-campus for the entirety of this time.

East Asia Global Immersion Program

Applications for the East Asia Global Immersion Program (GIP) are now open. The East Asia GIP will visit Taipei, Shanghai, Beijing, and Seoul from May 15th to May 30th. The registration form can be found in hard copy at the MBA Program Office, or on the GIP website.

Class Meetings: Q4, Mondays, 4:30-6:30pm

Travel Dates: May 15 – May 30, 2016

Registration: Lottery on March 1
Program Fee: $4,000

International Exchange Applications - Round 2 Info

Round 2 of the application process is open! You may now submit your application materials for international exchange during Summer and Fall 2016 semesters. Please join us for an International Exchange Information Session on Wednesday, February 17 from 12 to 1:30 pm in SHDH 109. The Info Session is hosted by Andy Fischtrom, Associate Director, MBA Student Life, INSEAD Singapore Campus.

**Please note that students applying for LBS should submit their Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 applications now. Applications should be submitted by February 28th at 11:59pm. Late applications will not be accepted.

 

Excel Level 1

An Excel Level 1 Workshop is scheduled on Wednesday, February 10th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm in JMHH 375. Please sign up on SPIKE.

This hands-on workshop covers helpful Excel commands for your coursework and career.  Includes Shortcut Keys to make completing spreadsheets easier on PC and Mac.

Topics include:

  • Excel for Business; How to write and use Business formulas
  • Master the differences between Relative and Absolute Cell Referencing
  • Use of important Business Functions
  • Create Business Charts
  • Link and manipulate worksheets
  • Work with different views and layouts
  • Shortcut Keys to save time completing spreadsheets

No prerequisite required. Reference materials and practice worksheets included.

  • Want to spend spring break on a boat in the Caribbean? We have a limited number of spots available on the Small Crew Sailing Leadership Expedition in Grenada over Spring Break. Dates: March 6-11, 2016. Cost: $3,950. Small Crew Sailing places participants in crews of five aboard modern sailboats in Grenada where they will be challenged to work effectively under highly fluid and dynamic conditions.
