Disability Accommodations at Wharton

How It Works

The MBA Program Office (MBAPO) provides assistance with disability accommodations in all MBA courses for full-time MBA students who are registered with the University’s Office of Disabilities Services (DS). After a student registers with DS and meets with an a DS specialist, our office will work with the student to coordinate the accommodation and communicate with the faculty on behalf of the student.

Step 1:
Register and Meet with Disability Services

The first step to setting up accommodations is to be approved by the Office of Disability Services and follow their documentation processPlease begin this process before you have any exam or class requests.

Note: The average wait time for an appointment with the Office of Disability Services is 2 weeks.

Step 2:
Meet with the MBA Accommodations Team

Once your accommodations are approved by the Office of Disability Services, the MBA Accommodations team will contact you to schedule a 30-minute meeting.  During this meeting, the MBA Accommodations team will share how your specific accommodations will be applied and answer any questions you may have.

You will be provided with the exam request form at this time.

Step 3:
Fill Out and Return the Exam Form

If you have testing accommodations, you must complete the exam form to let us know when your exams will take place.  Please include all exams that you would like your accommodations applied to – this includes quizzes, midterms, finals, and other assessments.

The exam schedule form is the MBA Program’s primary accounting of your upcoming exams.  If you do not submit the form or the information is incomplete, the MBA Program Office cannot guarantee your request will be filled.

All exam requests must be submitted at least 5 business days before to guarantee your request will be filled.

MBA Program Accommodations Policies

  • The MBA Program Office can only provide accommodations that have been approved by Disability Services at the Weingarten Center (DS).
  • Students are responsible for submitting their accommodation documentation through the MyWeingartenCenter Portal for each course. This is especially important for in-class accommodations.
  • At the beginning of each semester, the accommodations coordinator will send you an email requesting your exam schedules for the term. This is the main way we are informed of your upcoming exams. You are responsible for returning the exam form in a timely manner.
  • Ideally, the exam form should be completed at the start of the term, but it must be submitted at least 5 business days before the exam. If there are any changes, please inform the accommodations coordinator immediately via email. The MBA Program Office strives to accommodate all requests but cannot guarantee accommodations for requests made within 5 business days of an exam.
  • If you go directly to your professor to arrange an accommodated exam, there is no guarantee that the MBAPO can provide your accommodations.
  • If you require accommodation for an exam outside of Wharton, please follow the exam scheduling protocol arranged by DS or the appropriate department.
  • DS and the MBAPO take academic integrity very seriously. Faculty will be notified of any irregularities that occur during an exam.
