Application Process
Admission to the MBA Exchange Program is highly competitive. Applications are reviewed holistically, with consideration given to:
- Quality of the application essay
- Academic performance and standing
- Ability to represent Wharton positively as an exchange ambassador
*Please note that only second-year students can participate in fall and spring exchange. First-year students may apply for a summer exchange.
Interested students must submit an application by the posted deadline. Applications submitted late, incomplete, or by email will not be considered. Submission of an application indicates interest in the program and is not a binding commitment to participate.
Once applications have been reviewed, students will be notified of their status and, if admitted, will have the opportunity to accept or decline their exchange nomination.
Financial Considerations
Exchange students continue to pay tuition directly to Wharton, not the host institution. Existing financial aid is generally unaffected by participation in the program, but check in with Wharton Financial Aid before committing to the program.
Students are responsible for:
- Travel expenses
- Housing and living costs
- Personal and incidental expenses
