Welcome to the Wharton MBA Impact Communities!
The goal of the Wharton MBA program is to equip and enable our students to occupy influential positions in organizations as conscientious, globally aware, and effective leaders who create a significant positive impact in the world.
To this end, we have created the Wharton Impact Communities. Through these communities we encourage students who are passionate about the most important issues impacting our global society to engage with each other and to explore all that Wharton has to offer.
Beginning with two key topics, Social Equity and Environment, these communities will serve as an aggregator of information and opportunities ranging from research and academic pursuits to career paths. Wharton Impact Communities will serve as your hub to find knowledge to feed your curiosity, events to enliven your interests, and community to allow you to connect with classmates, professors, and organizations.
Please explore our communities and consider becoming a member!

Explore the Social Equity Impact Community
The social fabric of societies around the world is fraying with social inequities being a key driver of these developments. It is our strong belief that businesses will have to play an important part in reducing these inequities. If you’re passionate about this topic, want to learn from others or share your experiences, and make connections with organizations, please join this community. This is a community of students who are considering getting involved in this domain by helping firms reach diversity, inclusion and equity goals, students who are thinking about creating or joining start-ups and firms that, for instance, facilitate more equitable access to healthcare, education, and financial inclusion, and students who are interested in financing and investing in such firms and projects.
Explore the Environmental Impact Community
Environmental sustainability issues are one of the defining problems of our time. For businesses, they pose both tremendous challenges and opportunities. Existing industries will become transformed, while new industries will arise. If you’re passionate about this topic, want to learn from others or share your experiences, and make connections with organizations, please join this community. This is a community of students who are considering getting involved in this domain by helping firms achieve their sustainability targets from the inside or as consultants, students who are thinking about creating or joining start-ups, and students who are interested in financing and investing in such firms and projects. Areas of interest include, among others, the energy transition to renewables, the future of mobility, innovations in agriculture, the decarbonization of industrial sectors, green hydrogen, the design challenges for homes and cities, and carbon sequestration.
