What is a decision tree?
A decision tree is a set of questions you will answer in the Evaluation Module that will help determine what core requirement outcome is best for you.  You will answer questions about your prior academic experience and provide supporting documentation for review by the faculty (e.g. certifications, syllabi, and transcripts).  The outcome from your decision tree may be immediate or you may need to wait until your documentation has been reviewed.  Please see the timeline below for more information.

WHAT IS THE TIMELINE FOR THE EVALUATION PROCESS?

There are three evaluation periods throughout the evaluation process.

Pre-Evaluation:  This applies only to Corporate Finance and Macroeconomics & Global Economic Environment.  Your credentials will be evaluated based upon the information you provided in the Admissions process (e.g. transcripts).  You do not have to perform any action to complete Pre-Evaluation.  Your outcomes will be available to you when the Evaluation Module opens.

Evaluation Period 1 – Deadline June 17:  Complete the prompts provided in the Evaluation Module (also known as the decision tree) for each course.  You should receive your outcome by June 28.

Evaluation Period 2 – Deadline July 22: Complete the prompts provided in the Evaluation Module (also known as the decision tree) for each course.  You should receive your outcome by July 26.

If you are not approved for a waiver or substitution by credential in the Pre-Evaluation Period or Evaluation Period 1, you have the option of submitting additional material to have your request reconsidered. You will see an “Additional Information” button in the Evaluation Dashboard where you can submit supplemental information, such as a syllabus.

What is the difference between Evaluation Period 1 and Evaluation Period 2?
We offer two Evaluation Periods to A. allow students who were unable to submit materials during Evaluation Period 1 to complete the process and B. allow students to submit further documentation for review based upon their outcome from the Pre-Evaluation or Evaluation Period 1.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I NEED TO COMPLETE A WAIVER, SUBSTITUTION, OR PLACEMENT EXAM?

If your outcome requires you to take a placement, substitution, or waiver exam, you may sign-up for your exam in the Evaluation Module.  You will be automatically be added to the exam Canvas site and can access it when it becomes available. If there is a prep course for the exam, you can find that on the Canvas site.

All exams will be conducted virtually.
